Southeast Kentucky Chamber Announces Back to Business Grant Recipients

PIKEVILLE, KY – An anonymous member of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber has made a $3,000 donation to the Chamber, in support of the Back to Business Grant Program. The additional funds will provide six additional businesses with flood relief. The additional donation brings the total funding amount to $28,250 in grants to 31 businesses across Floyd, Knott, Letcher, Martin, and Pike counties.

Additional Businesses Receiving Funding Through Anonymous Donation:

PIKEVILLE, KY – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the recipients of its Back to Business Grant Program, designed to support local businesses in their flood recovery efforts. Through this initiative, the Chamber has awarded grants to businesses across the region, providing critical funding to help rebuild vital businesses and maintain important jobs to sustain the region’s economy.

The Back to Business Grant Program was created to assist businesses affected by the February 2025 floods, offering direct financial support to aid in recovery and reopening efforts. The program was fully funded by the Southeast Kentucky Chamber, and open to members and non-members alike, ensuring broad access to much-needed resources.

In total, the Chamber has awarded funding to businesses across Floyd, Knott, Martin, and Pike counties, providing a total of $25,250 in grants to 25 businesses. The following businesses have been awarded grant funding through the program:

  • Redd, Brown & Williams Real Estate Services (Pike County) - $1,500
  • UPS Store of Pikeville (Pike County) - $1,500
  • Valley Agency (Pike County) - $1,500

“The Chamber’s Board of Directors is committed to supporting our local businesses as they navigate recovery efforts,” said Jordan Gibson, president and CEO of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber. “These grants will provide a much-needed boost ensuring our members have the resources needed to reopen and thrive. Local business and entrepreneurs are the lifeblood of our community, and we’re happy to be able to give back.”

In total 58, businesses submitted funding requests totaling more than $130,000, with estimated damages exceeding $6 million. “While we understand our funds and ability to help are very limited, we are proud to play this small part in helping our members get back on their feet,” said Gibson.

The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is located at 178 College Street in Pikeville and serves more than 500 businesses in eight Eastern Kentucky Counties: Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike. The Chamber’s mission is to serve the businesses of Southeastern Kentucky through a commitment to networking, advocacy, education, and collaboration as we partner together to enhance the business climate in our region.
