Southeast Kentucky Chamber’s Links for Learning Golf Scramble Raises Funds for Local Schools
JENKINS, KY — May 29, 2025 —

aven Rock Golf Course in Jenkins, Kentucky. The event brought together community leaders, businesses, and golf enthusiasts for a fun-filled day of friendly competition all in support of a great cause.

The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is located at 178 College Street in Pikeville and serves more than 400 businesses in eight Eastern Kentucky Counties: Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike. The Chamber’s mission is to serve the businesses of Southeastern Kentucky through a commitment to networking, advocacy, education, and collaboration as we partner together to enhance the business climate in our region.
Proceeds from the scramble benefit the Chamber’s Excellence in Education Grant Program, which provides more than $8,000 in funding each year to support innovative academic initiatives in Eastern Kentucky schools. Since the program’s inception in 2008, the Chamber has awarded over $91,000 in grant funding to enhance learning opportunities that schools would otherwise not be able to offer.
The Chamber is proud to recognize the many community partners who made the 2025 scramble a success. Leading the way as event sponsors were Appalachian Wireless, Double Kwik, and Shred-All Documents. Support also came from team and hole sponsors including American Business Systems, City of Pikeville, Community Trust Bank, Food City, Gearheart Communications, Kentucky Power, Peoples Bank & Insurance, Pikeville Medical Center, and Walters. Additional sponsorship was provided by Brown Foodservice Inc., along with hole sponsors such as Amazon Hub Delivery, Appalachian Regional Healthcare, Big Sandy Community & Technical College, Mountain Metal Recyclables, Robin Simpson Smith, Attorney at Law, and The Benefits Firm.
