Southeast Kentucky Chamber Announces Leadership Transition
PIKEVILLE, KY — June 17, 2026 — The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce announced today that long-time President & CEO Jordan Gibson, MBA, IOM, KyACE has resigned to accept a new position as a Wealth Advisor with Community Trust Wealth & Trust Management. Gibson’s tenure with the Chamber continues through the end of the month before he begins his new role.
The Chamber’s Board of Directors has selected Tiffany Coleman to succeed Gibson as President & CEO effective July 1, 2026. Coleman currently serves as Vice President of Accounting and Special Events and brings extensive financial knowledge and operational experience to the position. Coleman will also complete her certification from the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Institute for Organization Management on July 2. IOM is a four-year credential in non-profit management and serves as the industry standard for chamber and association education.
Gibson joined the Southeast Kentucky Chamber in 2017 and has led the organization through a period of significant growth and transformation. During his tenure, the Chamber has expanded membership, strengthened regional partnerships, enhanced member services, and grown signature programs and events that support business and community engagement throughout Eastern Kentucky.
Throughout his time as CEO, Gibson has been deeply engaged in community service and regional leadership beyond the Chamber. He has served on a number of boards and commissions dedicated to advancing economic growth, preserving local heritage, and enhancing quality of life throughout the region. His service includes leadership roles with the Rotary Club of Pikeville, supporting community service projects and charitable initiatives; the Big Sandy Heritage Center Museum, helping preserve and promote the rich history and culture of the region while advancing efforts to attract visitors and strengthen heritage tourism; and the Pikeville Main Street Program, where he has worked alongside city leaders to support downtown revitalization, encourage investment, and foster a vibrant business environment.
At the state level, Gibson has represented the interests of Eastern Kentucky through his involvement with the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and Leadership Kentucky, collaborating with business and civic leaders from across the Commonwealth to address challenges, develop future leaders, and advocate for policies that support economic prosperity. Through these organizations, he has worked to ensure that the voice of Southeast Kentucky is represented in conversations shaping the future of the region.
“It has been an honor and privilege to serve the Southeast Kentucky Chamber and the business community,” said Gibson. “I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished
together over the past nine and a half years. It has been incredibly rewarding to work closely with so many great individuals and organizations throughout our region. In so many ways, the Chamber is stronger than ever, and I’m confident that Tiffany’s leadership and commitment to our mission will ensure continued success for the organization.”
Coleman has been an integral member of the Chamber team, overseeing financial operations and managing many of the Chamber’s largest events and initiatives. Her experience and dedication have made her a trusted leader within the organization.
“The Southeast Kentucky Chamber has been fortunate to have the leadership of Jordan Gibson as our President and CEO for almost a decade. Jordan has been a steady force at the helm of our organization through the difficult times of a global pandemic and a changing economic climate, and we are sorry to see him move to a new job and different challenges” said Robin Simpson Smith, Chair of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber’s Board of Directors.
Simpson Smith continued, “But we are also blessed to not have to look far for our new President. Tiffany Coleman has earned this leadership position through her efforts since she was hired four years ago. We have full confidence that Tiffany will maintain the standards of steady guidance established by Jordan, and we look forward to seeing where her enthusiasm and attention to detail will take us.”
Coleman is excited for the opportunity to step up and lead the organization.
“I am honored by the confidence the Board has placed in me and I’m excited to continue building upon the strong foundation Jordan has laid,” said Coleman. “I look forward to working alongside our members, partners, and communities to continue advancing our business community and opportunities for Southeast Kentucky.”
The Chamber’s Board of Directors will work closely with both Gibson and Coleman throughout the transition to ensure a seamless leadership change.
