COMMUNITY TRUST BANK ANNOUNCES KAREN MURPHY PROMOTED TO VICE PRESIDENT

PIKEVILLE, KENTUCKY: Mark A. Gooch, Chairman, President and CEO of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc., is pleased to announce the promotion of Karen Murphy to Vice President at Community Trust Bank, Inc.

Ms. Murphy is the Administrative Assistant to the President and CEO of Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. and Chairman and CEO of Community Trust Bank, Inc. and serves as the Recording Secretary of the Board of Directors for Community Trust Bancorp, Inc. and Community Trust Bank, Inc. Ms. Murphy also coordinates various projects including strategic planning, Board and management level evaluations and surveys, and other special projects. Her office is located at 346 North Mayo Trail in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Ms. Murphy has worked at Community Trust Bank for more than 22 years. She is a graduate of Prestonsburg High School in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Sullivan University. Ms. Murphy resides in Prestonsburg, Kentucky
