Southeast Kentucky Chamber Launches Back to Business Grant Program to Support Flood-Affected Businesses

PIKEVILLE, KY – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce has announced the launch of the Back to Business Grant Program, part of its Resilience Fund, to assist businesses recovering from the February 2025 floods. With a total of $25,000 available, the program will provide grants ranging from $500 to $1,500, prioritizing Chamber members in counties served by the Chamber.

“Our communities have faced tremendous challenges the past few years, and this fund is designed to provide immediate financial relief to help businesses get back on their feet,” said Jordan Gibson, president and CEO of the Chamber. “We want to ensure that businesses have the support they need to reopen quickly and thrive again.”

To qualify, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to reopening within two months. The Chamber will select recipients within two weeks to ensure timely assistance for those in need.

Businesses can apply online at www.sekchamber.com/backtobusiness.

The grant selection process will be conducted with careful consideration to ensure funds are distributed effectively to support businesses in need. While a total of $25,000 is available, funding is limited and not all applicants are guaranteed to receive a grant. Priority will be given to Southeast Kentucky Chamber members, but all eligible businesses in Chamber-served counties are encouraged to apply. Grant amounts will range from $500 to $1,500, and applications will be reviewed based on demonstrated need and commitment to reopening.

The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is located at 178 College Street in Pikeville and serves more than 500 businesses in eight Eastern Kentucky Counties: Floyd, Johnson, Knott, Lawrence, Letcher, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike. The Chamber’s mission is to serve the businesses of Southeastern Kentucky through a commitment to networking, advocacy, education, and collaboration as we partner together to enhance the business climate in our region.
