Southeast Kentucky Chamber Welcomes Parkview Pharmacy As Newest Member

PIKEVILLE, KY (November 21, 2023) – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce Parkview Pharmacy as its newest member.  A membership plaque was presented to the company on Friday, November 10, 2023.

Parkview Pharmacy started in 2006 and is run by pharmacist Valerie Akers. Valerie’s innovative approach to serving her patients has allowed the business to grow tremendously over the past 17 years by using the latest technology to ensure accuracy and efficiency. The pharmacy focuses on their patients’ adherence to their treatment plan by encouraging patients to use the RXLocal app to set reminders, as well as using a program called MedSync to align multiple prescriptions into just one monthly pharmacy visit.

Parkview Pharmacy’s commitment to fostering healthier communities takes medication adherence to the next level through compliance packaging for medication prescriptions. This approach seeks to simplify and streamline adherence to prescribed treatment plans, addressing the challenge of medication management head-on.
