Southeast Kentucky Chamber receives award at annual conference
Frankfort, KY (October 6, 2020) – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce was awarded Outstanding E-News Communication during the Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Executives annual conference held virtually in September, an award the Chamber received in 2019 as well.
“It is an honor for our staff to be recognized for their hard work and dedication to the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce and the more than 500 businesses we serve,” said Jordan Gibson, president and CEO of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber.
The KCCE Excellence Awards pay tribute to local chambers of commerce in areas of operational excellence including membership growth and retention, website, social media, special publication and newsletter communications, and special events.
“It’s important, especially now, to make sure we are connected with our business members and to make sure we are providing them with relevant and timely resources and information for their success,” said Josh Little, the Chamber’s director of operations.
KCCE Executive Director Amy Cloud said this year’s awards ceremony was special because of the pivotal role local chambers have played in their communities throughout the year.
“Hosting the awards was extra special this year because of what our local chambers have been through over the past several months,” said Cloud. “It was important to take time to celebrate all the wonderful things they have done and the growth they have achieved.”
