Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce Welcomes Trey K Mining and Electric, Inc. As Newest Member

PIKEVILLE, KY (November 9, 2023) – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber is pleased to announce Trey K Mining and Electric, Inc. as its newest member.  Membership Development Manager, Jamie VanHoose, presented the company with a membership plaque on October 31, 2023.

Trey K Mining is a company specializing in underground power distribution, and they stand as the only company in Kentucky specializing in underground mineral mining. In recent years, Trey K has diversified its product and now facilitates Bitcoin mining.

“We are excited that Trey K Mining and Electric has joined the Southeast Kentucky Chamber,” said President & CEO, Jordan Gibson. “They play a crucial role in supporting the coal industry in this region.”

Trey K Mining was started in Canada, KY in 1997 by 3 business partners: Keith Thacker, Kirby Elkins, and W. Keith Hall.  As the business grew, so did demand, which required relocating to a larger facility.  The business is now located at 6290 State Highway 194 E in Kimper, KY.
