Southeast Kentucky Chamber Hosts Ribbon Cutting for Campus Styles and Scoops

PIKEVILLE, KY (March 12, 2025) – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce recently hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Saturday, March 1, 2025, to celebrate the grand opening of Campus Styles and Scoops, a new chamber member and business in downtown Pikeville. The shop, formerly known as Steph’s Uptown Swag, is located at 118 Caroline Avenue and has undergone a transformation under its new ownership.

Originally from Pike County, owner Jarrad Stump and his wife, Amanda, now reside in Tennessee, where they both have full-time professional careers. Their journey to becoming entrepreneurs began when they visited their son, a University of Pikeville student, on a snowy January weekend. While shopping for UPIKE gear at Steph’s Uptown Swag, a casual conversation with the previous owner, Steph, quickly turned into an unexpected opportunity to purchase the business and reestablish their roots in the community.

In just a few short weeks, Jarrad and Amanda have embraced entrepreneurship, bringing fresh ideas and expansion plans to Campus Styles and Scoops. With Amanda’s retail experience, they have already launched an online store featuring a wide range of licensed UPIKE apparel. Looking ahead, they also plan to introduce a new in-store beverage option to complement their popular açaí bowls and hand-scooped ice cream.

The shop is quickly becoming a downtown favorite, offering Velvet Ice Cream, milkshakes, and fully customizable açaí bowls with a variety of toppings. Additionally, Campus Styles and Scoops is the only licensed retailer in downtown Pikeville selling UPIKE apparel and gear, making it a go-to destination for students, families, and fans.

“We are thrilled to welcome Campus Styles and Scoops to downtown Pikeville,” said Jordan Gibson, president and CEO of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber. “Their investment in our community not only enhances the local business landscape but also provides a unique shopping and dining experience for residents and visitors alike. We look forward to seeing them grow and thrive.”
