Southeast Kentucky Chamber Holds Ribbon Cutting for Childers Auto & Truck Parts

PIKEVILLE, KY (Aug 1, 2024) – The Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 for Childers Auto & Truck Parts, a dynamic new addition to the region’s automotive and heavy-duty truck service industry. The event celebrated the official opening of the business and highlighted its commitment to serving the community with exceptional products and services.

Founded by Kenneth and Allison Childers in January 2023, Childers Auto & Truck Parts specializes in the sale of auto and heavy-duty truck parts to a diverse customer base. Their clientele includes the general public, wholesalers, fleet shops, and industries such as mining and construction. In addition to parts sales, Childers Auto & Truck Parts offers full-service repair and support for all vehicle makes and models, ensuring comprehensive service for their customers.

The inspiration behind the business stems from Kenneth Childers' lifelong involvement in the trucking industry. His father, Grover Childers, owned a truck parts store for many years, selling Mack truck parts in Eastern Kentucky. Kenneth and Allison have been integral to the auto and heavy truck towing and repair industry for 25 years with Ken's Towing. Recognizing the growing need for increased uptime and parts availability, they saw an opportunity to create jobs in Eastern Kentucky by offering valuable services and sustainable employment.
