Local Axe Throwing Venue Celebrates Ribbon Cutting and Soft Opening

Pikeville, KY – April 4, 2023 – 606 Lumberjacks celebrated their ribbon cutting ceremony with the support of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce. 606 Lumberjacks is brand-new axe throwing venue located at 4115 North Mayo Trail in Coal Run.
Axe throwing is an exciting and unique form of entertainment that has been growing in popularity across the country, and 606 Lumberjacks is excited to bring this fun and thrilling activity to the community. The new venue is designed to provide a safe and welcoming environment and promises an exciting and unforgettable experience for its customers.
The ribbon cutting ceremony was held Friday, March 31 followed by a soft opening event for friends and family featuring complimentary axe-throwing sessions, refreshments, and more. Attendees had the opportunity to try axe throwing with expert instructors on hand to provide guidance and ensure a safe and enjoyable experience.
606 Lumberjacks features a range of exciting activities including axe throwing and a rage room, where guests can safely release their frustrations and stress in a controlled environment. The rage room is a unique attraction that provides guests with a safe space to smash and destroy items, such as glass bottles, old electronics, and furniture.
“We are excited to bring this unique combination of activities to the community,” said co-owner Derrek Hiatt. “Our venue is designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for people to have fun, release stress, and try something new. We invite everyone to come out and experience the excitement of axe throwing.”
