Judi's Place For Kids Seeking Sponsors for Upcoming ''Run with Courage'' 5K

PIKEVILLE, KY — Judi’s Place for Kids, a member of the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, is currently seeking sponsors for their upcoming Run with Courage 5K, scheduled for April 25, 2026, at Pikeville City Park. The annual event serves as one of the organization’s primary fundraisers, supporting critical services for children who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Judi’s Place for Kids is one of only fifteen Children’s Advocacy Centers in the Commonwealth of Kentucky and is a nationally accredited organization dedicated to bringing hope and healing to children in crisis. The agency serves Pike, Floyd, Johnson, Martin, and Magoffin counties through offices in Pikeville and Prestonsburg, providing services that include forensic interviews, medical exams, advocacy services, and trauma therapy.

Over the past 12 months alone, Judi’s Place for Kids has served more than 350 children. In addition to direct services, the organization is deeply involved in prevention and education efforts throughout the region, working with schools, educators, and community partners to raise awareness and help stop abuse before it occurs.

The Run with Courage 5K has become a meaningful community tradition and an important source of funding for the organization. Last year’s event raised over $14,000, with proceeds going directly toward expanding Judi’s Place’s capacity to serve children and families in need.

“Our Run with Courage 5K is more than just a race, it’s about our community coming together to stand with children who need us most,” said Kimberly Lee, Executive Director of Judi’s Place for Kids. “The support we receive from sponsors and participants allows us to continue providing critical services and continue to build a culture of prevention that helps keep our kids safe.”

This year’s event will include a 5K run/walk, a one-mile walk, a kids fun run, and family-friendly activities, making it accessible for participants of all ages and capabilities. Sponsorship opportunities are available at multiple levels, offering businesses and organization visibility through event signage, t-shirts, digital promotion, and more.

Businesses and individuals interested in sponsorship opportunities can contact Judi’s Place for Kids at outreach@judisplace.org or by calling (606) 437-7447. Additional details about sponsorship levels and event participation are available through the organization’s website, judisplace.org
