Former Windmill Restaurant ready for new tenants following renovation

Pikeville, KY (August 6, 2019) – A staple of Pike County, the former Windmill Restaurant, is now seeking new tenants following renovations to the restaurant space, which spans 5,500 square feet and features new appliances, ample parking, and a convenient, well-known location.

Located in the City of Coal Run Village, adjacent to the Daniel Boone Motor Inn, the property operated as the Windmill Restaurant for more than 40 years. New property owners Judy and Bennett Adkins, plus a silent partner, have updated the buildings roof, added heating and cooling units, new vent hoods in the kitchen area, new city hookups for wastewater, propane and electric hookups, and new ceilings.

During a live video on the Southeast Kentucky Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook Page, Bennett said the former restaurant operators did obtain a license from the Alcohol Beverage Control (ABC) department, which is also a viable option for new tenants.

The current layout seats nearly 100 people, with a conference/meeting area adjacent to the main dining area.

“All together, the entire building has 5,500 square feet,” said Bennett. “Seating space is probably about 1,800 square feet. The rest of it is storage, kitchen area, refrigeration area, etc.”

As far as equipment, according to Bennett, the only appliance needed is a dishwasher, the rest are included.

The property is located at 150 Weddington Branch Road, Pikeville, and is ready to lease. For lease information or more property details, contact Bennett at 865.274.2554.
