Regional Multi-Media Senior Account Executive – based in Paintsville, Whitesburg, or immediate surrounding areas.

Kentucky’s largest small market radio group is actively seeking its first Regional Multi-Media Senior Account Executive who will serve partners and clients in the Eastern Kentucky region of Kentucky. This position will mainly work for our Eastern Kentucky radio markets in Paintsville and Whitesburg – WSIP FM and AM, WKLW, and WKYH in Paintsville and WXKQ and WTCW in Whitesburg. Forcht Broadcasting Radio and Digital serves nine radio markets with 26 radio stations in Kentucky, Indiana, and Illinois.

Forcht Broadcasting Radio & Digital wants a Regional Senior Account Executive ready to begin an exciting career in the radio industry telling client and community stories in Eastern Kentucky using on-air radio and digital platforms. Forcht Broadcasting uses legacy and traditional radio and digital, multi-media platforms to promote and grow local businesses and advance the footprint of Forcht Broadcasting. We are not looking for a leader who uses a standard, “cookie-cutter,” approach to presenting radio and digital advertising experiences and digital platforms. We want a Senior Account Executive who is motivated and understands each radio client and market is different.

Qualified candidates should have at least 2 years of experience working in a direct sales environment. Experience and knowledge of radio and digital sales is a must. Having a post-secondary degree in business, broadcasting, marketing, sales, or communications is preferred but not a requirement to submit a resume for the position. Qualified candidates for this position must be able to independently manage time and duties to most effectively generate revenue. This is not an entry level position.

The Regional Senior Account Executive will be expected to do the following and will report directly to the Forcht Broadcasting Radio & Digital President/CEO: 1.) travel throughout the Eastern Kentucky region meeting with partners and clients ensuring they know about the radio and digital experiences our Paintsville and Whitesburg radio stations offer

2.) meet weekly with the General Managers of the Paintsville and Whitesburg radio stations and be a part of all sales team meetings with the stations

3.) prepare and present radio and digital marking campaigns to clients, based on client needs

4.) attend regional community events, such as business ribbon cuttings and chambers of commerce meetings

5.) find new businesses in the region who have not advertised with our radio stations

6.) engage in professional development opportunities provided and paid for by Forcht Broadcasting, which includes taking online digital marketing courses from the Radio Advertising Bureau

7.) keep up to date on industry and company-wide radio and digital practices and developments

This position will require regular travel. Compensation will reflect radio, sales, and leadership experience and work experience. A competitive package will be offered to qualified candidates. This position will begin salaried and will transition to a commissions position when a solid client base has been established.
