Breaks Park plans Annual Easter Egg Hunt; Sunrise Service, Easter Buffet
Breaks Park is gearing up for its 18th annual Easter Egg Hunt at Potter's Knoll
on Saturday, April 7, said Breaks Park Director of Visitor Services Austin
Bradley. The Easter Bunny will also be making a special appearance just before
the event.
Bradley said 3,000 eggs will be hidden this year, with 350 prizes ranging from
coloring books to electronics. The Egg Hunt will be for children ages 1 to 12,
with three separate age groups: ages 1-3; ages 4-7; and ages 8-12. The event
will be held on Potter's Knoll. The Easter Bunny will arrive at 11:30 to pose
for photos and hand out treats, and the Egg Hunt will begin promptly at noon.
Bradley said parents were encouraged to come early to avoid missing the
beginning of the event.
On Sunday morning,
April 8,
beginning at 6 am, an Easter Sunrise Service, sponsored by Breaks Church of
Christ, will also be held on Potter's Knoll at the shelter.
Beginning at 11 am on Easter Sunday, the Rhododendron Restaurant will be
hosting a special Easter buffet which will include orange glazed ham, roast
beef, chicken and dumplings, along with side dishes, a fresh salad bar, and
homemade desserts.
