PRESTONBURG, KY-The Blue Moon Mountain Bluegrass Festival announced today that 5 percent of all tickets sales will be dispersed evenly to five local charities, including The Jordan Light Foundation, Shriners Hospitals for Children, Booth Scholar Program, and Highlands Center for Autism. The Jordan Light Foundation will receive 1% percentage of all tickets sales at the five-day festival to be held July 27-31, 2011 at the Prestonsburg Equine Center at Stonecrest.
"We are appreciative of the Blue Moon Mountain Bluegrass Festival for their support and bringing acknowledgment to our mission," says Solomon Kilburn, Development Director for the Jordan Light Foundation, Inc. The Jordan Light Foundation, Inc. is continuing to expand its mission to provide financial assistance for families with a medical crisis with the donation from the Blue Moon Mountain Bluegrass Festival. The donated funds will support needy families that are
struggling with the cost for transportation, food, and housing while obtaining medical care at distance medical facilities. This donation will meet the increasing requests from numerous needy families in our community.
The Blue Moon Mountain Bluegrass Festival earlier announced an all-star roster of artist for the festival including J.D. Crowe, Marty Raybon, The Roys, Don Rigsby, CJ the DJ, Melvin Goins Bluegrass Mountaineers, Tyler Stephens, Vince Combs, Blue Moon Rising and Dale Anne Bradley with even more acts to be announced at a later date along with an announcement of sponsors.
The 5 day event has now released signups for the inaugural corn-hole, softball, and volley ball tournaments. To sign up please e-mail info@scottorg.com to request an application.
