Appalachian Heritage Festival
Breaks Interstate Park will host the fourth annual Appalachian Heritage Festival on October 11-12, showcasing regional crafters, musicians, and time-honored Appalachian traditions.
Bluegrass Musicians Phil and Ann Case, and the Dennis Cove Band will perform on Saturday, with music running from 1 pm to 4 pm. On Sunday, music will run from 1:15 to 4:30 with Jim and Ada McCowan, and Virginia Whirlwinds.
During the festival, a ceremony will also be held to unveil the park’s new interpretive signs. Seven new signs detailing elements of the geological, cultural, and general history of the park, and three new trail signs will be introduced. The ceremony will begin at 1 pm on Saturday.
