DESCRIPTION:Regional Lee-Jackson Civil War Event Planned at Breaks Park\n \nCivil War re-enactors and enthusiasts will enjoy have the opportunity to hear speakers and learn about upcoming events at the Regional Lee-Jackson Reunion at Breaks Interstate Park on January 14 in the Conference Center.\n \nThe event will feature three guest speakers: Randall Osborne\, of Pikeville\, KY\, is a historian and author of Virginia State Rangers\, and State Line. Historian and Author\; Anthony Hawkins\, of Elkhorn City\, KY\, is a historian and author\, and has also worked to catalog the members of the 10th KY Cavalry\; and Brian McKnight\, a native of Lee County\, is an American History professor at UVA-Wise\, and author of Contested Borderlands.\n \nDinner will be served prior to the featured speakers' presentations\, and following those speakers\, regional groups will present information for their upcoming events\, to allow everyone the opportunity to mark their calendars for the coming year. Local organizers of reenactments and other historical events will also have displays and information available\, as well as merchandise for sale.\n \nThose interested in attending the event can choose a program and dinner package\, or one that includes the program\, dinner and overnight accommodations in a lodge room. For those who register in advance\, individual program admission and meal is $16.04\; Program\, meal\, and overnight lodging for an individual is $61.04. For a couple\, program admission and meals is $32.08\; Program\, meal\, and overnight lodging for a couple is $77.08. Children 4 and under are admitted free.
