SUMMARY:Historic Passenger Train Excursion April 12-13
DESCRIPTION:Grundy\, VA to Devon\, WV - This trip will operate over the Norfolk Southern Pocahontas Division's Buchanan Branch line (former Norfolk & Western Railway) on a 72-mile round trip.  Departure location will be the Grundy Town Center shopping complex parking deck at 1179 Riverview Drive.   Departure times are 8:00am or 2:30pm\, returning around 12:30pm and 7:00pm\, respectively.  Passengers will stay on the train for the entire trip\, including while the train is turned around in Devon. The route begins in Virginia and takes riders through a portion of Kentucky before touching the edge of West Virginia\, following the Levisa Fork River and passing through several tunnels.  It ends uniquely by exiting from a tunnel onto a double-bridged wye track over the Tug Fork River. A commissary car will be included on the train selling snacks\, soft drinks\, and light food items.  A gift shop will also be featured on board for those wishing to purchase souvenir items.
