\n Joy Carol\, is a well-known author\, national speaker\, workshop and retreat leader\, and spiritual director. She writes a weekly prayer blog for Guideposts Magazine. Her recent books include The Fabric of Friendship\, Towers of Hope\, and Journeys of Courage. Joy holds Master of Arts degrees in Spiritual Direction from the General \;Theological Seminary of the \;Episcopal Church \;and in Counseling Psychology\n from the University of Maryland and an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
