DESCRIPTION:The hike to Bad Branch Falls is a little over a mile (one way) and takes close to 2.5 hours at a leisurely pace. The trail will take you through an old timber hall road that was built in the 30's or 40's. In places where you hike\, bridges were built because there was no place to build a road on the hillside due to the sandstone cliffs. \n\nThis hike is a categorized as a moderate hike because it requires climbing over rocks and walking around small ledges. Most people that can walk one mile should not have any trouble. \n\nThe scenery to the falls is breathtaking\, including high sandstone cliff's\, giant hemlock pines and many different types of rock formations. \n\nThis tour includes transportation and a packed snack with water. \n\nHiking tours also include a walking stick & prepared backpack to use during the hike. Tours can accommodate groups of up to 8 people\, with a maximum of 4 children on hiking tours\, for safety purposes.\n\nDiscover Letcher County\, KY Guided Tours requires ticket purchase 24 hours prior to the date and time of the event.
